Relationship Issues/Trauma
Relationships are hard. We all long for connection, yet many of us have been hurt by those we've been closest to. Our past relationship experiences can deeply affect how we relate in our current relationships, often leaving us frustrated by falling into the same cycles and patterns. Therapy is a space to explore all of this.
I specialize in relationship trauma, which means we’ll focus on how your past relationships have impacted you and continue to do so. I believe these relationships and important attachment figures in our lives shape how we see ourselves, the world, and those around us. By revisiting these wounds, we can start to heal them. The safety of a therapeutic relationship creates a space to look at these wounds, name your experiences, and begin to make room for new, healthy, loving relationships moving forward.
Parents: Are you worried about your teen? Do they seem more isolated than usual? Maybe you know something is wrong, but feel lost when attempting to get them to open up to you and talk about it. Teens today face a range of challenges, from academic pressure and social media stress to issues with self-esteem and mental health. They might be struggling with anxiety, depression, or difficulties in their relationships.

Teens: are you frustrated, irritable, or overwhelmed by life? Stressed by situations with friends or at school? Struggling with your own self-image or stuck in a comparison game that only makes you feel worse? Do you find that you long for connection but at the same time find yourself shutting everyone around you out? Or when you try to talk to people, do you feel misunderstood and shut down again? Being a teenager can be really tough. There’s a lot to handle between school, friends, and figuring out who you are. It’s normal to feel upset, confused, or lonely. It’s easy to think everyone else has it all together, but that’s usually not true.

As a therapist with a passion for working with teens, I understand the unique challenges they face. I often tell both my parents and my teens that I fully believe these years are some of the hardest we all ever face. So much pressure, so many social expectations. I also know how important it is for teens to connect with the therapist they see, to feel seen and understood. Finding someone who won't judge or look down on them is critical for their growth and healing. I truly love working with teenagers and believe that the respect and care I feel for them is apparent to them in the room. I'm a great balance of warm and serious, while also sarcastic and humorous. Most importantly I am real with them. If you're looking for a therapist who cares about your teen and understands the struggles you both are facing, I would love to talk more. Therapy can give teens support and tools to manage anxiety, regulate emotions, build confidence, handle changes, and communicate better with others.

Women/girls with ADHD
Do you struggle to get things done, focus on the task at hand, or feel overwhelmed by life? Does it feel like you are always in a rush, with racing thoughts or frequently getting lost in your own mind? Maybe you feel misunderstood by others or frustrated because life seems especially hard?

Women and girls with ADHD often face unique challenges that can go unnoticed or dismissed. ADHD in women is less likely to be diagnosed because it often looks different than it does in men. For many women, ADHD can mean battling disorganization, feeling perpetually behind, or living with a mind that never seems to slow down. It can lead to feelings of frustration and being misunderstood, making daily life feel especially tough. Recognizing and understanding these symptoms can help put the pieces of your life together, offering clarity and strategies to manage your ADHD more effectively. Therapy can provide support and tools to help you navigate these challenges, allowing you to feel more in control and understood. If you’re ready to explore how ADHD affects you and find ways to manage it, reach out today for support.
One of the most common reasons people enter into therapy is because of anxiety and the way it has taken over their lives and any sense of peace they once knew. Anxiety can show up in so many ways, sometimes paralyzing us causing us to avoid certain situations, or taking over our lives to the point where nothing feels enjoyable anymore. It might look like constant worry, restlessness, or a nagging sense of dread that makes even simple tasks feel overwhelming. Often, anxiety can lead to perfectionism, low self-esteem, or people-pleasing behaviors as we try to manage our feelings by controlling everything around us or seeking approval from others. While these might help a bit in the short term, they can also trap us in a cycle of stress and dissatisfaction.

Through therapy, we can get to know our anxiety better, understanding its triggers and patterns so it doesn’t have to run the show. By digging into the root causes of your anxiety, we can uncover what's really driving your stress and come up with personalized strategies to manage it.

Postpartum—wow, nothing can prepare you for stepping into this new season of life. You read the books, take the courses, but then bam, it smacks you in the face anyway. You’re exhausted, sleep-deprived, overwhelmed, and learning to accept all the newness in your life. Depression, anxiety, and even rage are super common—why wouldn’t they be?
